Ancient Britons cannibal 15 Thousand Years Ago

Ancient British people eat the bodies of her friends and make a bowl from his corpse skull. The new findings indicate cannibalism people of ancient Britain.

Natural History Museum London researchers find human bones 15 thousand years in southern England. These findings show signs of cannibalism and the skull is used as a drinking bowl.

The skull was found in Cave Gough precisely at Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, southwest England.

According to paleontologist Silvia Bello, the findings of the skull had been cleaned of soft tissue, bone cut base and his face and smoothed the rough edges to make a skull cup or bowl.

The study was published in the journal Public Library of Science journal PLoS ONE. "The process of making these tools very tiring," said Bello. The researchers say, the cup may be used for container or ritual.
"There's no way to know how to use the skull cup back then but the latest example shown the cup to the blood, wine or food during the ritual," said Chris Stringer, who helped dig the skull cup in 1987.

Around 14,700 years ago, Gough Cave skull cups expressed as a direct example of the world's oldest. Scientists said the cause of death of Cro-Magnon (European early modern humans) can only be guessed only.

They may be killed, butchered and eaten or may be part of the group who died and was eaten in a crisis situation and the skull cup is used as a tribute to the dead. No one knows for sure
